Handsome Furs is Dan Boeckner (he of Wolf Parade) and his wife Alexei Perry. This is their second album after the rather disappointing Plague Park. This is not disappointing. It's a brilliant album right from the opening track 'Legal Tender' all the way through to the magnificent closer 'Radio Kaliningrad'.I prefer Dan's songs in Wolf Parade (mostly, not always) so was delighted to have a full album of his that lives up to his Wolf Parade stuff. It's not out for a while but it'll be an essential purchase. Here's one of the tracks off it as a taster:
